Building the Aerial Forest Park
OVG’s team is experienced in planning, designing, building and operating Aerial Forest Parks. We employ a project planning and management methodology that enables the project to stay on track, in budget and on time. Each project is unique but the process to successfully open and operate an AFP is the same.

Physical Requirements
· 5 –10 acres of woodland
· Parking for 100-150 cars
· Bathroom facilities
· Building structure for ticket sales and an office (with electricity)
· Eating/picnic area recommended
Construction
· Platforms & connecting cables are built a minimum of 10 feet off the ground.
· Platforms and bridges are constructed to minimize damage and environmental impact.
· Platforms and cables are secured around the circumference of trees in such a way to avoid harm and can be adjusted or dismantled easily.
Park Operations
· Can be operated year round in warmer climates
· Capacity varies depending on park size
· Ideal for groups as well as individuals
· Group, adult and junior pricing
· Reservations not required by individuals
Security
· Access should be prevented by various means when park is not in operation.
· Security cameras and motion sensor lighting can enhance security.
Training
Designed for staff working at AFPs and monitor high rope courses. Learn the skills necessary to safely operate and manage courses from rescue techniques needed, basic equipment use, on-course safety procedures, course supervision, technical skills requirements,
and operations standards required.
